Canasta Game Rules

1 HAND CANASTA
Set Tables 2/2/2 - UNRATED-This special tourney is a game of canasta with a twist. The Twist is there is only 1 hand. The person with the higher score after 1 hand will be awarded the win. 15 min max time and/or 5 min MIA.

1 HAND QUICKIE:
The game is what the game says. You play 1 hand of whatever game the TD chooses. The person with the highest score, (or lowest depending on game played), at the end of the 1st hand wins the game.

1 RED 1 BLACK:
Set Tables 2/2/2 - In this tourney you must have at least 1 red & 1 black canasta to go out. Canastas can be made in any order and you may have more, as long as you have one of each when going out. Other than that it is reg play, you jus have to have 1 of each to go out.

1 Red:
Set Tables 2/2/2- Rated -You need one RED CANASTA to Go Out. You can make as many Canastas as you want, but you need ONE RED CANASTA to go out!! You can make the canastas in any order just as long as u have one red canasta. The rest can be black oradditional Red Canasta's but you MUST have one red to go out!

1 Red Cut:
Set Tables 2/2/1 - Rated - In this tourney you have to have at least 1 red canasta to go out. The rest of the game is as cut play would be. If you go out and don't have at least1 red canasta it will result in a disqualification from the tourney.

3 STRIKES
Set Tables 2/2/2 - RATED - In this tourney you have to have EXACTLY 3 canasta's (red or black) before you can go out. No more then 3 canasta's and no less then 3 canasta's. You can have more then 3 canasta's but you can not go out. If you don't have your 3 canasta's or have over 3 canasta's and go out, it will be a dq.

50/90
Set Tables 2/2/1 - Rated - This is a exact meld tourney, you CAN NOT use any wilds when melding 15, 50 and 90 exact meld. You CAN use wilds when melding exact 120 meld. Your meld has to show on table before making any canasta's so your opponent can count your meld. If a wild is used when making 15, 50 or 90 exact meld you will be dq'ed. Exact meld means you can’t meld more than what’s needed. Ex: If you need 50 to meld you must meld EXACTLY 50 point to the table until your next turn.

911:
Tables are 2/2/2 - Rated - 9s and Aces must be melded first. They have to be laid down in the same turn. Wilds can be used. You may meld other cards with your 9’s and Aces as long as 9’s and aces are melded as well.
